Director of Training Barry Keatley

Barry Keatley is a highly experienced and respected plant machinery trainer in Ireland. Born into agriculture and immersed in machinery from a young age, Barry has worked across various sectors, including agriculture, construction, quarrying, equine, waste management, and education. In 2000, following a road traffic accident that left him wheelchair-bound, Barry made a remarkable return to machine operation while still using a wheelchair. He later pursued a qualification in Training & Development through the Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD) and became a registered trainer delivering FÁS/SOLAS CSCS courses.

Today, Barry is one of Ireland’s most knowledgeable and sought-after plant machinery trainers. He delivers training across various sectors, including safety awareness, site safety, plant and machinery operation, Barry has a keen interest in new technology and innovative training methods, which led him to the world of simulators. He is dedicated to revolutionizing plant machinery training by reducing costs, improving safety, minimizing environmental impact, and enhancing driver efficiency. Through his work with TalentPool Virtual, Barry is making it possible for plant operators to learn in a way that protects the learner, the environment, and the machinery, all while reducing industry costs.
